Affordable Champagne Brands

By Nathan Hall

Are you interested in finding affordable champagne? If so, you're reading the right page. We will write about finding a good quality champagne at a bargain price. We are also going to discuss about well-known champagne brands and how to avoid low quality sparkling wines.

Whether you throw parties several times per week or you just want to drink lots of champagne you'll have to buy quality champagne at affordable prices. First, you should know the difference between sparkling wine and champagne. Champagne is been prepared in Champagne-Ardennes, France while many other sparkling wines resembling champagne can be found all over the world and they are not traditional champagne.

When you want to buy a bottle of champagne, try to stick to the big brands. Choose Veuve Clicquot, Bollinger, Moet et Chandon, Taittinger, Freixenet, Ruinart and others. Expensive bubblies like Dom Perignon, Krug, Heidsieck, Perrier-Jouet, Cristal can cost a couple of hundreds of bucks at a local store. Yet, they are high-priced because they are vintage champagnes, which are been made from exceptional harvests and held almost 10 years in the cellar before entering the market. If you want a delicious bargain-priced champagne choose a non-vitage one. A non-vintage Moet et Chandon costs as low as $12-16, while a Veuve Clicquot price is over $28 for the cheapest bottle. If you avoid a brand's prestige cuvee, then you can get inexpensive champagne in most champagne brands.

If you stick to the big brands, you will avoid most artificial sparkling wines on the market. Genuine champagne is produced using champenoise methode and you can find written on its label: "Fermented inside the bottle". A standard artificial sparkling wine can cost as low as $5-$6 per bottle but the bubbles are been produced artificially with carbon dioxide injection while the fermentation is obtained at high temperature and pressure inside huge industrial containers. Avoiding such a product is easy when you know the big champagne brands. Nevertheless, there are other options to champagne, as you can get a good quality sparkling wine at an affordable price such as the Spanish Cava or Italian Prosecco. Regardless of which champagne you prefer, remember that the best deals you can find are on the internet rather than at your local store.

The greatest champagne brands produce quality wine at different prices, so you can find cheap champagne even from the most expensive champagne houses. Selecting which you're going to buy is up to you, but remember that the best champagne prices can be found on the online market.
