Freshly prepared iced tea can be a great accompaniment on a sultry day not just with food but by itself as well. Iced tea is definitely becoming one of the healthiest and tastiest drinks to sip on. These days one can find iced tea almost everywhere, however this drink wasn't always common and it was meant for upper class individuals only at one point of time.

It is not a bad idea to learn how to make iced tea because this drink is extremely suitable for all occasions and it is tasty, healthy and refreshing. The following are different methods of preparing iced tea:

Cold Brewing - The foremost requisite for preparing this decoction is tea bags which have been especially manufactured, processed and packaged to facilitate the cold brew and hence are different from the normal tea bags. This is one of the most convenient methods of how to make iced tea as the tea bags are added to a pitcher of cold water and left to brew for around ten minutes.

In order to prepare iced green tea, all that you need to do is rely on the hot brewing technique. Simply place a pot of water on the stove and heat it, remove it just before the water boils and use this hot water to brew your green tea. Instead of adding sugar, try using fruit juices to kick up the oomph factor of your iced green tea.

White Tea - White tea is perfect for all those who would not like to add sugar to their tea and yet want them to not be bitter, in such a case it would help to learn how to make iced tea using white tea. In order to get that delicate flavor of white tea you'll need to let it brew for a longer period of time and additionally you can also use ginger, peppermint or licorice to kick it up a notch.

Sun Tea - This is probably the simplest way to make iced tea, but it does take a long time, in order to make sun tea simply leave about four or six tea bags in a pitcher of water and place it under the direct rays of the sun for about five hours. After that you can take your sun tea, sweeten it with sugar and refrigerate it to get that mellow taste of sun tea.

Herbal tea - Among all the methods of how to make iced tea the herbal tea method is probably one of the most flexible because it encourages experimenting with different herbs. You need to have a bit of knowledge about various flowers and herbs so that you can make the perfect blend, i.e. you should understand that blood orange means a strong brew, green chamomile means a sweet and light brew while flowers are added for sweetening purposes.
