You can actually add a crisp surface to the meats with that lighter. If you know how to make use of your lighter, then you can add a crispy shell to a meat and it will still retain a juicy perfectly cooked inside. Here are the steps you need to take in order to crisp meat with a butane lighter.

First, you need to know what types of meats will work well for this. Not all meats crisp well, so you will want to save your kitchen lighter for the right options. Some meats that work well include poultry with the skin, like turkey or chicken. Additionally, you can crisp and blacken some types of fish and steak. You may want to experiment with a number of different meats to see how they will turn out when you use your torch lighter for them.

After you have cooked the meat, you will need to turn your butane lighter to medium if you are crisping chicken and turkey. If you are blackening fish or steak, you will want the lighter on high. Then, all you need to do is pass the flame slowly over the meat. The tip of the flame should just barely touch the surface of the meat and the flame should never stay in one place long. Otherwise, you may scorch the meat.

In order to make sure you crisp the meat correctly, you will need to make sure you cook the meat thoroughly in advance. Then, you will need to never allow the lighter to stay still. Instead, keep the flame moving and keep it an even distance away from the meat. You should see the meat brown slightly. This is how you will know that the meat is crisped correctly.

Did you know that you can crisp meat with your torch lighter? Now that you do, you can get started trying it out so that you can create even more enjoyable and even more tasteful meals.
