How to Grill Like a Master

Are you trying to learn to grill but need a few pointers to start? If you have ever wanted to learn to grill a tasty steak then follow some advice to help you make it. To begin, start off with a nice gas grill to help you.

Gas grills are considered by many to be superior because you have the benefit of temperature control and it is less likely that you will have a flare up.

If you want to learn to grill a great steak then follow some tips to have you grilling like a master in no time.

A gas grill is a good choice if you are serious about grilling because it gives your food a chance to cook without adding any other flavors from things like mesquite, for instance. Many times you just want to eat the steak and enjoy its flavor without all those others getting in the way. After all, steaks were meant to be savored.

The temperature of the grill is very important. You need to fire it up and let it heat for at least 10 minutes before adding your steak and the longer the better.

This is ideal because it gives the grill time to heat up to the right temperature to cook your steak fully and sear it well enough to make it as flavorful as possible.

If you are finding that your steak is sticking to your barbecue grill then one of two things could be happening. It is either not entirely finished cooking or you have not properly cleaned and oiled the grill.

Proper oiling of the grill will result in a steak that will and should pull off easily. If you have oiled it well and it still won't pull off then it probably isn't ready! The best time to oil is when the grill is warm. If you prefer not to use oil at all then grill baskets are also a great option and they making turning your cuts of meat easier.

Picking Out Your Cut of Meat

For your steak to be as juicy as possible you will want to choose a thicker cut of meat. Thinner cuts of meat will tend to be drier but they will also cook faster.
