Enjoy a Genuine Persian Diner in L. A.

By Ilan Gez

It's not always incredibly easy, finding good Persian food in LA, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is impossible by any means. Let's take the Attari Sandwich Stop as an example. We associate the word "Atari" with another well-known corporation, but in this situation it happens to be quite the sandwich shop. This maybe one of the best Persian restaurants in Los Angeles.

One of the major statements people have a tendency to make relating to Attari is that the food is sort of healthy. We found that the meat kotlet sandwich was quite nice, which was intensely filling. The scenery around the multinational is nice according to the great majority of sandwich lovers with a great courtyard, lots of outdoor seating, and a fountain to sit around.

One thing to notice is that if you're looking for a rigorously traditional Persian experience, you are not going to find it here. There is a but of a modern twist on the food served here, and with that being the situation you'll find more genuine Persian food at other locations in LA. The catch however is the price, and you'll find that Attari charges a comparatively low one in contrast to lots of other sandwich shops on the market.

Right next door, Attari has opened a sit down eatery called the Attari Griddle. For those looking for that real Persian experience it could be found here with a slightly upmarket menu that ranges from salads, to kabobs, all the way to speciality starters. This is a little less pricey when put next to other restaurants in the LA area, especially considering the $10 stews that are generally available.

Lots of folk we talked to said that the staff was very friendly which most definitely relates to our own experiences. That being said, it certainly couldn't hurt to give this multinational a try to see what it can do for you during your lunch hour. You may very likely be fascinated!
