Blunders in Eating

By Sandy Fe

If a person does not follow the appropriate steps to attain a healthy body, this blunder can generally affect the body. There are some myths that can trigger these mistakes and sadly, a lot of individuals still follow them.

Here are some of those myths:

1. Exercising on an empty stomach. It is always important to eat light meals before working out. Otherwise, it's like making your body runs without any fuel. If you feel that you are hungry, never hesitate to consume a light food like an apple.

2. Being dependent on energy drinks and bars. No one ever said that these products should be restricted. Nevertheless, the mistake begins when a person is reliant on them too much since they don't have antioxidants which are useful in preventing cancer. Instead of being dependent on energy drinks and bars, you should opt for vegetables and fruits since they contain lots of vitamins and minerals.

3. Disregarding breakfast. As they always say, you can miss any meals but not breakfast. This is 100% true. Foods served for breakfast start your body to function and missing breakfast can be hazardous to your health.

4. Low carb diet. It is important to consume enough carbohydrates to avoid muscle degeneration. Also, carbohydrates can serve as the body's energy storage.

5. Eating what you want. Eating healthy and exercising doesn't give you an all access pass to eat anything you want. Everyone needs the same nutrients whether they exercise or not, as well as fruits and vegetables.

6. Lack of calories. Many individuals reduce their calories rapidly for the sake of immediate weight loss. But this approach is never considered to be healthy. If you are aiming for weight loss, try to opt between 1 and 2 pounds every week. Having sufficient calories in your body can maintain its normal operation.

7. Limit alcohol and soda. Hydration is also important in aiming for good health. Hydrate your body drinks like juice, milk and water. Drink plenty of fluids and don't wait to get thirst. When thirst is felt, it signifies that your body is losing its normal function.

No matter what your age is, always observe the healthy ways to eat. Once you have attained this type of lifestyle, you will always feel good and your body can fully perform. Healthy eating can truly improve your lifestyle.
